2. How to use the Exoline® Aqua Stop additive?

Exoline® Aqua Stop should always be added in dry form to the cement or other binder, before any water is introduced.

Thorough and even mixing is essential to ensure that the additive performs effectively throughout the entire mixture.

The recommended dosage depends on the application, but as a general guideline, one 2.4 kg bucket of Exoline® is sufficient for four 25 kg bags of factory-mixed plaster, concrete, or other cement-based products.

Mechanical mixing is recommended, and the prepared material should be applied within the indicated working time.

Exoline® is fully compatible with all standard cementitious systems, and it enhances the waterproofing, density, and durability of the final product.

3. Where can Exoline® Aqua Stop be used?

Exoline® Aqua Stop is an extremely versatile solution that can be applied to all cement-bound and mineral-based surfaces, including concrete, brick, mixed masonry, adobe, and rammed earth structures. It is ideal for both new construction and renovation projects, and can be used effectively in indoor and outdoor environments.

The product is perfectly suited for basements, plinths, façades, retaining walls, water tanks, swimming pools, tunnels, bridges, and other reinforced concrete structures. It is also highly effective in wet rooms, bathrooms, and shower areas.

Additionally, Exoline® Aqua Stop provides excellent performance in the post-treatment of old, moisture-affected walls and historical buildings, as it forms a waterproof layer without blocking the natural escape of water vapor.

This makes it particularly recommended in areas where waterproofing, breathability, and long-term structural protection are all essential.

4. How long does Exoline® take to dry?

Exoline® Aqua Stop accelerates the setting and drying process.

Allowing the mixture to harden faster than traditional materials. Under normal conditions, surface drying may occur within 12–24 hours, while full curing is typically completed within 3–5 days. At temperatures above +25°C, protective curing (e.g. foil cover or light misting) is recommended to prevent rapid evaporation and cracking.

5. Is Exoline® Aqua Stop suitable for indoor and outdoor use?

Yes, Exoline® Aqua Stop is suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications. It performs reliably under a wide range of environmental conditions and is ideal for basements, plinths, retaining walls, façades, wet rooms, and more.

6. Does Exoline® Aqua Stop prevent mold and salt damage?

Yes, Exoline® Aqua Stop effectively prevents mold growth and salt efflorescence by blocking water ingress and allowing internal moisture to evaporate gradually. By reducing the presence of free moisture within the structure, it eliminates the conditions necessary for mold and salt formation, resulting in healthier walls and indoor air quality.

7. Can Exoline® Aqua Stop be used on old, damp walls?

Yes, Exoline® Aqua Stop is an excellent solution for post-treatment wall drying, especially in old masonry affected by high moisture levels.

The product penetrates deep into the pores of the structure, and its micro-particle composition fills fine cracks and microgaps, effectively blocking further water ingress. At the same time, it preserves the substrate's vapor permeability, allowing the trapped moisture to gradually escape from the wall.

As a result, the structure dries from the inside out, and long-term damp issues are eliminated.

8. Can I mix Exoline® with other products?

Yes, Exoline® Aqua Stop is fully compatible with all cement-based materials, regardless of brand or manufacturer. It can be used with concrete, plaster, injection grouts, and other cementitious systems. It not only mixes well, but actually enhances the setting and curing properties of the base materials, resulting in a more uniform, denser, and more durable structure. Treated surfaces offer superior waterproofing, chemical resistance, and extended service life.

9. How long does the waterproofing effect last?

When applied correctly, Exoline® Aqua Stop provides long-lasting waterproofing. The additive integrates deeply into the structure of the plaster or concrete, forming an internal moisture barrier. While environmental factors may affect its performance over time, under normal conditions, the material remains reliable for many years. In case of damage, full reapplication is not necessary – the waterproofing layer can be repaired locally.

10. Is Exoline® Aqua Stop environmentally friendly?

Yes, Exoline® Aqua Stop is a 100% environmentally friendly solution that fully complies with modern sustainability standards. It contains no harmful or toxic substances, emits no hazardous materials, and neither its production nor its application places any burden on the environment. Made from natural components, it actively contributes to creating a healthy and clean built environment—both indoors and outdoors.
